#1 when I was born: Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me by Mac Davis (I don't know if I've ever heard it, but four days after my birth Michael Jackson hit #1 with Ben)
#1 when I was 21: Mariah Carey's stupid song Dreamlover. Ick.
Heh. "Don't Get Hooked on Me" is one of those songs I sing at random times for no apparent reason. It just pops into my head. I'll be out mowing the lawn and all of a sudden I'm all "Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me" or "Don't go breaking my heart" or "I'm all out of love, I've been searching or SO long"... Memories of the bus ride home from school during the late seventies when the driver with the bouffant hairdo would play this stuff on her AM radio.

Actually, Dreamlover is one of her best singles. Someday I'll sit you down and explain why. The remixes are pretty great, too.
Ohhhh...I remember Mac Davis, and that song.
*cries*

Anil, I had Mariah's first album and loved it too much, after that, not so much.
