For ten large, I would probably pay someone to finish the 2-3 months of back breaking work and construction required in the backyard I have ahead of me.
Or I'd get a custom road bike built.
Or a new 50" 1080p plasma monitor and new A/V unit with HDMI.
Or I'd get a restored Vespa to tool around town.

I vote for the vintage Vespa (Scooter Station is the place, in SE-- you're near Portland, right? Stefan is the man) -- that should take about half. And then a sweet road bike. You could probably get Ira Ryan or Sasha White to make you something for 4 or 5K.
