When did you realize the world was a small place?
A few years ago I found an organic farm in the middle of nowhere, Oregon doing fresh eggs and meat so I emailed the farm's website asking about pricing and if they do CSA type stuff and the email back was simply:
Is this same Matt that runs MetaFilter?
A close second was last summer when I found out that Kathryn and I attended the same elementary school, about 5-6 years apart. We realized this after I annotated a Google satellite map of my childhood home.

One of my small world moments came when I came across a blog written by one of my neighbors with a picture of the Hayes Street sign on it and was all, like, 'oh wow, this is a great blog, what a cool find' and only realized later it was written by that dude from Metafilter.
Were you in Southern Oregon by any chance?
Naw, in the Willamette Valley, near Yamhill. Feels like the middle of nowhere to me.
